Hi all, how are you? I don't care.

So, in the near future, there are going to be a few severe changes to the NotoriousDev network. In case you haven't noticed, we are extremely lacking in a playerbase. All of our players are pretty much our staff. However, we know the error of our ways.


Right at the beginning of this, we had a load of active players (thanks to Spigot and their snapshot protocol during 1.5). I had a little money to throw around so we bought the server that we currently run on. BIG MISTAKE. Next month, I had to borrow money from the wonderful @GunfighterJ to cover that months payment. We're now nearing the end of another month and money is short. I am seriously considering even stopping my little hosting company that was a hobby of mine due to financial troubles and focusing everything on NotoriousDev. It will still be...

After only a week of downtime, we are alive again!

Servers are essentially the same, the only difference being that you have to connect to each one separately.

As I'm sure you're all aware, we've had some downtime lately. Let me just answer some questions you may have.

Why?
We are splitting our server up into two physical servers. One is for Yeti's hosting company. The other is for NotoriousDev. We are doing this so that failures on one server do not affect anyone else.

When will you be back up?
We are in the final stages of putting NotoriousDev back online. We plan to ditch BungeeCord and just have people connect directly to the server of their choice. No worlds or plots will be lost and all SkyBlock stats will remain.

We are gaining (a) new (or two) server(s) from this. One that we have definitely decided on is a Survival server with no PVP, no griefing and no economy. It will be very close to vanilla.

For those of you with bouncer accounts, they will be restored once the servers are complete.

Probably not, hence why you're here in this thread. But don't worry! I took the liberty of writing up some simple instructions on how you can.

First of all, read our guide to IRC etiquette.

IRC

There are two ways of connecting to IRC: Webchat, and an IRC client. When using a client, you can also use an IRC bouncer, which will keep you connected even when you aren't there.

Webchat

If you're just passing by and don't plan on getting into IRC, feel free to just click that Chat link above.

Client

If you're fed up of webchat, which is very limited, and want to get into an IRC client, then this is where you start reading. Just follow these steps.

1. Go to the following link and download XChat2....

So we have a new theme (Flexile), which I think looks a LOT better.

If you don't like the colour, it's easy to change. Just click "Flexile Dark" at the bottom of the page and then choose the colour you want

In addition to this, we now have a news page as the front page. This will display the contents from the "News and announcements" section of the forums and is only so people actually pay attention to what's going on.

You can now get to the forums by clicking the "Forums" link in the top navigation bar.
